A later in life diagnosed Autistic and ADHD counsellor, based in Crewe, South Cheshire.
I'm passionate about nature and the wonderfully positive effects it has on us (hence all the nature photos on my website!). I love being in my garden and quiet nights in. Mental Health, Psychology and Counselling have always fascinated me and I love to understand, and know the 'why' behind things!
My journey towards becoming a counsellor began with needing therapy myself. My counsellor was my fearless comapnion, always there, with empathy and an infectious warmth. I felt understood.
Having felt and experienced the profound benefits of counselling first-hand, I threw myself wholeheartedly into 4 years training to become a Neuro-Affirming Counsellor; to be your 'fearless companion' when you need help and support too.

Traditional therapy often focuses on changing or resolving difficult parts of yourself, which may leave you feeling like you’ve failed when change doesn’t happen.
Our Autism and ADHD informed counselling sessions will take a different view, by recognising and understanding that traits like sensory sensitivities, difficulties with eye contact or moving to help yourself concentrate aren’t problems to fix, but parts of who you are. The focus is on understanding, acceptance, and working with your natural ways of being while gently exploring any unresolved experiences or future worries and anxieties.
Sometimes, we just need a safe space to say exactly how things are ...
A Neurodiversity-Affirming Space
You're warmly welcomed to a calm, confidential and accepting safe space, where you can show up exactly as you are, without needing to mask, perform or have everything figured out.
Every part of you is welcome here: the parts that feel confident, the parts that feel messy, the parts you're still getting to know, and the parts you've spent years hiding or masking. They all deserve to be seen, heard and understood. There's no need to edit yourself before you arrive.
As an experienced neurodivergent counsellor, I understand that everyone’s brain works differently. We’ll work at your pace, in a way that feels right for you, whether that means allowing extra time to process, adjusting for sensory needs, or using creative ways to express experiences that feel hard to put into words.
My Commitment to You
You'll always be met with warmth, care, curiosity and acceptance.
You'll have the space to say what needs saying, even if the words don't come easily. Some sessions may bring laughter, while others may hold sadness, frustration or uncertainty. Whatever each session brings, every part of your experience is welcome. You can't get this wrong!
Together, we'll work gently, building self awareness, insight and self confidence as you reconnect with your authentic self. Throughout our sessions, I'll always be fully present, listening deeply to both the spoken words and the unspoken emotions which sit beneath. We'll make sense of your experiences together, helping you discover strengths you may not yet recognise in yourself, and celebrating each step of your progress along the way.
Gently Untangling Life's Knots
Sometimes, the most important thing you can do is pause and give yourself the time and space to process what's been weighing you down. This practice is so important, in order for life to continue in a different way.
When life feels tangled, slowing down can create space for greater understanding, healing and change. Just as you can't rush untangling a ball of wool without making the knots tighter, counselling offers the time, space and patience to gently tease apart the thoughts, feelings and experiences that have become so tightly tangled together.
Over time, as those knots begin to loosen, my hope is you experience greater clarity, self understanding and confidence, helping you move forward feeling more grounded, more connected to yourself, and more able to respond in ways that feel true to who you are ... even when life has felt too much to hold alone.
